Tutorial Details

Have you ever kept re-working a landscape but still couldn’t get it to read correctly? I have, and I know how frustrating that is! Generally, this happens because the underlying values are not correct.
In this tutorial I will show you how to create a value study, and explain why 4 values work so well in landscape painting.
You will learn how spending a few minutes creating a study before you begin painting can save you hours of headache later trying to ‘fix’ a half finished piece!

This makes so much sense. I will be referring back to this lesson a lot in my future landscapes.

I've watched this video several times and am sure to watch it several more. It is excellent. I don't have photoshop so use MS Word(2003) and paste my image in the document. Click on the image and you get a range possibilities...see your image in color, grayscale and black and white.

Jane keeps it simple and clear. Very helpful, one of those steps we like to skip and pay for it later. Well done!
